The equipment is designed to assemble and allow for assembly of 40 types of connecting rods/pistons sets based on:
Along with the assembly, the connecting rod cap is decoupled from the beam to allow for direct piston mounting on the driving shaft.
The system is made up of a turntable with eight operation stations where the following processes take place:
1. Connecting rod, piston and piston pin upload (with “pick to light” inspection system) 2. Inspection of consistency between the connecting rod and the piston using a vision guided robotic system 3. Assessment of the proper integration of the set piston pin - piston – connecting rod using force/motion control system and assessment of piston pin length 4. Seeger ring assembly consisting of: - Turntable with N°8 types of vertical cartridge Seeger rings - Seeger ring specification system - Picking and positioning system with assembly dimension control 5. Seeger ring assembly assessment system 6. System for decoupling connecting rod caps from piston beams
During unload/upload processes, the equipment can be used by one or two operators based on effective need.
